Trudy Bolduc
In 2008 Trudy started hooking life by attending a week-long class at Sauder Village. Prior to that, she had only made a couple of chair covers to learn the actual hooking technique. Trudy had the teacher dye the face colors for her “Snow Angel” prior to coming to class and she spent a week on her face learning fine shading. By the time Trudy left Sauder Village, she was a confirmed lifetime hooker. Her "Snow Angel" rug went on to be on the cover of the Ontario Guild magazine and to receive a red ribbon as a “First Rug” award at Sauder. To this day "Snow Angel" is her favorite rug.
Since then Trudy has made many rugs using various techniques, most of which she designed herself. A particular passion of her is wearable art and she has taught classes for purses and ponchos. Recently Trudy took a class on zoom and made a weekender carpet bag. Zoom classes are wonderful and they allow us to learn from some of the best teachers located anywhere in the world from the comfort of our own studio.
